About Me

As a musicologist (PhD), I have been successfully involved with music comprehension for twenty years: researching, teaching, and acting as an ambassador to educate the public about music. I am the author of books, scientific and journalistic articles, lectures at international conferences in various European countries, radio broadcasts and concert moderations. I have been working in Germany since 2009: first at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, then at the University of Siegen, the University of Leipzig and the University of Potsdam.

In August 2021, I founded UnderstandingMusic.academy. As an educator, my focus here is on individual work with students, enabling them to feel more joy in music and music-making, to freely develop their creative potential and to understand music in a sustainable way.
